GBGreat coverage and no smell! By far the best paint I've purchased. I recently purchased Aspire .01 (a very light yellow) for a wall in our bedroom. The walls are a dark brown and I was concerned I needed primer as well before putting on the Colorhouse paint. After talking with their Color Help team, they said primer wouldn't be necessary but I would need a couple coats. Skeptical but trusting, I painted the wall without primer. I was excited to see two coats covered the wall easily and covered the dark brown without issue. A bonus was that there was hardly any smell while painting, and when it dried you couldn't tell the room had been painted at all! I've painted many rooms with other brands in the past and have always needed to air out the room for days to get the fumes out. Not with Colorhouse! I definitely recommend Colorhouse paint to anyone.

GBWanted to love it. Turned out to be the opposite. We bought two colors from the Crate and Barrel color line. We thought it would be great to have a less toxic alternative from a small, independent company run by designers, with great colors to boot. We also thought it would be high quality. We're pretty disappointed in the paint. My husband is a high-end contractor and a home improvement expert, so we know we did everything to the extreme best; we are far from amateurs. The paint does not cover well, even with the appropriate compounding, taping, sanding, and primer used before it. It also comes off extremely easily and this is after two coats. This is incredibly annoying especially on the walls that have the dark blue (Crate and Barrel Blue 6) which require touch ups already. The walls were initially painted only two weeks ago. The eggshell finish has a slightly tacky feel even though it's been dry for two weeks. This paint was expensive for the poor quality. We would have been much better off sticking to Benjamin Moore or Pittsburgh, which we've already discussed using to cover this paint sooner rather than later. I cannot comment on customer service as we did not have to contact them for our order. It did take longer than expected to ship to us, though. That is also disappointing, but would have been worth it if the paint was high quality.

GBI started using colorhouse 5 years ago… I started using colorhouse 5 years ago when we moved into our house. We painted every single room with colorhouse paint, 3 bedrooms, living room, dining, kitchen and hallways and all ceilings. We have had no issues with any bad smells or poor coverage like other reviewers. This was in 2015 when they were selling the paint at home depot. In 2017 we renovated a 1 bedroom apartment downstairs in our multi family home. I wanted colorhouse again but they stopped selling it at home depot. Luckily we found a retailer in our city. We had the contractor use the paint in every room, it was a gut reno. Again no issues. Last year there was a small leak and our tenant asked if we had any leftover paint to paint a hallway. We did and he used it. Again NO ISSUES. This is paint that was sitting there for years and was easy to mix and quality was not affected. I wonder if the retailer has any influence on the quality of the paint. I.e. using an authorized and highly rated retailer, or if the quality has in fact gone down. We bought new paint last in 2017 so as far as I know it was still a quality product at that point. I am genuinely sad about the negative experiences other people have had, it doesn't sound like the paint I've used at all.

GBAwesome! I can't wait to paint something else! Paint chips were excellent guides, and the paint was so low-odor I never once got a headache even in a small enclosed room. The colours are magnificent and all we had hoped for.

GBPaint Coverage I bought 3 gallons of Colorhouse Paint, Eggshell. Thrive .03 thru Amazon after reviewing an advertisement in Good Housekeeping. 1. The ad said that the paint could be used on furniture. The can said not to use the paint on furniture, cabinet or floors. The Customer is left to figure out what to do 2. The paint requries 2 to 3 coats to cover a wall. The first coat dries to a yellow background tink For the price of the paint and the inability to cover I do not recommend anyone purchasing the paint. This is true case of buyer beware!
