Light Bulbs, Etc was founded in 1987 by Robert J. Black- our owner and leader for 22 wonderful years. Bob had a talent and a passion for sales and opening his own business was his dream. Bob had been in the lighting industry for years and he knew that he could sell lighting products. It was time to make this his family business! (The family legend goes that Bob wanted to sell something everyone needed, but he didn’t want to be a toilet paper salesman, so light bulbs it was!) Our company started with two employees in a small office and warehouse. One of these employees is still with us today! Over these last 27 years, we’ve grown to over 20 full time employees- all of whom are family members, lifelong friends and new friends we’ve made along the way. This was not by accident- we’ve been very fortunate to have family and friends with talents that helped us grow and expand our business. Electricians, stage and theatrical lighting specialists, Certified Lighting Specialists, and talented logistics, online and marketing people have made our company the great place that it is today. Sadly, Bob is no longer with us, but we honor him by maintaining his high level of customer service and his vision of our family owned business. Being a family-owned and operated business is our pride and our passion. We love our employees and our customers- and everyone becomes a part of the Light Bulbs Etc. family when you shop with us. In fact, when you call us during operating hours, you will always speak to a live person- and chances are, you’re speaking to a member of the family! That’s a rare thing in today’s world, but in our business, it’s the personal touch that has kept us growing for these 27 years.
