I wanted to sell my 1995 GMC Suburban… I wanted to sell my 1995 GMC Suburban and thought this might be a good site. I filled in the details and they asked if I had a reserve, I replied I did...apparently they don't like putting ads with reserve. They responded back that they had rejected my application and gave no explanation. I emailed them back to give me a reason so I understand what works for them but they never responded after that. I could have been a potential buyer for one of their cars at some point in the future, but now I am not sure I can trust this site - I get the impression they only do what works best for them , however they should learn sometimes a little courtesy goes a long way.

Bad service Man, CarsandBids is such a bad service for selling your car. They demand hundreds of photos, are always complaining, and the reserve price often changes, usually for the worse. For example, CarMax offered $4k above the reserve price offered by CarsandBids. I would not recommend them

CA DMV tops their customer service I started using the site as a buyer and made a few bids on csrs that interested me but unfortunately, I was not the winning bidder. As an anthusiast, I buy cars where ever I find them, enjoy them from a couple of months to max one year and sell them to get something else. I "applied" to sell a couple of my cars a month apart similar to what the C&B site sold a few weeks prior. In both cases, my cars were rejected with the same "boiler plate" response I assume everyone gets. I replied to get more information about the criteria given two other similar vehicles recently sold on their site and simply got no responses after that. When a business with such bad reviews completely 'ghosts' responses from potential sellers and does not assist buyers as the reviewers claim, it makes sense to be cautious about listing or buying. My guess is they are doing very well to not care about customer service.

Heavy Handed Censorship As a long time bidder AND buyer on car auction sites like C&B, I've found the input and comments from others both entertaining and valuable. However, C&B's ad hoc deletion of some comments makes my opinion of this site dim considerably. In addition to the bidding process, the banter of car enthusiasts is what makes sites like C&B and BAT exciting, fun, and educational. C&B, however, seems to have an unreasonably heavy handed censorship bent on their site. When I questioned their deletion of others benign comments, they then censored my comments, deleted them, and froze my account! Wow, as a mature and seasoned enthusiast, I find their behavior surprisingly immature in this area.

no buyers fee refund even if seller might be a scammer I bid on a Rolls Royce and won the auction. Then I flew across the country to view the car after winning because I didn't want to wire a large amount to a stranger without first viewing the car/paperwork. There were a lot of red flags so I decided to not finalize the deal. I still had to pay the $4500 buyers fee. Cars & Bids did not care that the deal did not go through. I guess that explains why they have an F with the Better Business Bureau. Needless to say, I will not be making my future car purchases with them.
