CA DMV tops their customer service I started using the site as a buyer and made a few bids on csrs that interested me but unfortunately, I was not the winning bidder. As an anthusiast, I buy cars where ever I find them, enjoy them from a couple of months to max one year and sell them to get something else. I "applied" to sell a couple of my cars a month apart similar to what the C&B site sold a few weeks prior. In both cases, my cars were rejected with the same "boiler plate" response I assume everyone gets. I replied to get more information about the criteria given two other similar vehicles recently sold on their site and simply got no responses after that. When a business with such bad reviews completely 'ghosts' responses from potential sellers and does not assist buyers as the reviewers claim, it makes sense to be cautious about listing or buying. My guess is they are doing very well to not care about customer service.

I managed to get a very good price and since the vehicle had no-reserve, my final bid was a winner. Now that I had a new car, I sent pics and a description of an LS I had to sell. The car was accepted quickly, but the process was a bit long after pics and videos were posted and this is why I didn’t give 5 stars. Vehicle sold to a really nice fellow and the delivery was seamless. Very pleased with C&B. Would consider using again without hesitation.

Pushy sales tactics. Declined Application. Like many others posted before, if you do not accept their very low reserve offer, they will reject your application. They are essentially functioning as a dealer and will move your vehicle far below even a trade-in value. What ever gets them the 4.5% commission. They rejected my 2021 Tesla Model 3 after offering a reserver $10,000 below KBB. The issue is not with their analysis team. Their business model is just like many other action sites. It does not benefit the seller at all. It is meant to push hard for lowest possible reserver to ensure most sales. It would be too much work to re-click and re-post the same unsold car with a lower reserve. It can border line be compared with the unethical standards as home brokers. Marketing your service as special or unique is false advertising.

Solid idea! Like others I’m surprised about all the negative comments. I have sold a car a couple of weeks ago and have to say the whole process was really good. I got more than the typical car max quotation and I feel like the buyer also got a good deal. Win win! Their onboarding process takes some time, but if you’re not in any rush this is a great place to sell a car! Customer service was always there for both me and the buyer!
