Ottawa I did my research online before calling any business up for a quote. Shepherd had a team that spoke well over the phone. The rate was realistic to what I was expecting. I liked them best because of the options. The shared freight carrier option seemed weird at first hearing about it because I felt like a mix up could occur but they mentioned that was something that many people use and problems barely ever occur. It was the most affordable option so that's the one I went with. Within a few weeks everything arrived in Ottawa undamaged and on time. I was leaning more towards giving them 4 stars, but because they notified me ahead when a plan changed they deserve 5.

Big Step Its a big emotional step moving out of the country. With that said there are no room for extra headaches. I was already feeling stressed, so finding a mover that make those feeling go away was the ultimate goal. A goal I achieved working with Shepherd. The movers here were top notch. Guys were well mannered and arrived within the time slot they promised (10am to Noon). It took 5 weeks until my things arrived in Bristol but when they did, they were as neatly wrapped, just how they left. I’m giving Shepherd 5 stars because this was my first out of country move of this kind and they did a better job than any mover I’ve used in the past.

Long Move but They did Great! After I booked my move with Shepherd they began the process right away. Things were great before the physical move even began. They sent over a team to pack one day and the move was the following day. With the move being to Sydney, Australia I thought it was very important to have packing done correctly. Which is why I paid extra to have their guys do it. On top of the packing their team handled all the paperwork for customs clearance. I can't even imagine how difficult organizing customs forms during Covid-19 must be but they really made it happen. Considering how long all of our boxes and furniture were traveling - it was great to see everything arrive at the other end in tip top shape. Not one thing went missing.

Couldn't have gotten all my furniture and art collection there without these guys. They were very friendly throughout the whole experience. They stayed available to ask follow up questions and calls. Honest about prices, timing and all details of the move right from the start. Personal advice to those moving internationally: make sure to pack a big suitcase of clothes because you're going to be without them for a month if you ship them. I called 3 other movers that offer a similar service in the area. This was by far the option in terms of pricing, industry knowledge and customer service.

Relieved I found this place So relieved we found this place. They made our whole move much less complicated. This was our first timing shipping anything outside of the U.S. Paying for a type of business that you've never done before feels both confusing and stressful. Even with all the emotions at hand we knew we found the right spot because when customer service at Shepherd made all the whole process easier to comprehend. Major props to the phone staff here who made us feel at ease explaining how they operate. I liked that they never really pushed us too hard on their business. It made everything feel much more natural from the start. A lot of bases to cover and things to worry about for our move. Things like customs forms, packing materials, insurance, the list went on. Thankfully they had an answer to everyone one of our worries. Amazing job you guys, thanks for making it happen.
