GBInternational students International students, like myself, generally do not know how to file their US tax returns. They educated me on tax works and on how tax returns should be filed.

ATI want to give a very positive review… I want to give a very positive review for Joana helping me with my tax returns. She took the time and patience to answer me in a detailed way on my healthcare questions ( specific regulations in some states, my changing status of visiting scholar during the year). I wish I had met her in the beginning and not in the end of my research stay to prevent a healthcare penalty, while nevertheless having a very good insurance covering everything but from abroad!

GBFew key improvements needed With a few improvements, Sprintax could make it's user experience much better: 1. State Tax takes a while to be generated but you don't know until you download it and open the PDF - you should give users a head's up or directly say it's not available. This makes UX not smooth. 2. W2 PDFS are ALWAYS 2 pages because the back is saved as an additional page. We should be able to submit as is 3. Give print ready downloads. Having to select only a few pages to print when is not a smooth user experience when you don't have a printer. Your business focuses on international students who usually won't have one... 4. Document upload scanning leaves a little to be desired. the wrong fields get populated. This is much better on Turbotax.

BDGold Standard of Customer Service Gold Standard of Customer Service: Mr. Sasho Stanchev I had pending issues and several unanswered questions regarding filing my taxes for years. These issues were a tad bit specific and required special attention. But when I came across Mr. Sasho Stanchev, he patiently handled my cases and addressed all of my concerns. In the end, he was able to provide suitable solutions to all of my problems. And for that he deserves a special mention here. I hope all other customer service agents will be like Mr. Sasho Stanchev.

ZAGuidelines not user friendly and missing info and steps I found that the guidelines were not instructive as there were many missing steps. Also the instructions are written up by IT specialists rather than from a user perspective. There is a lot of jargon that international students are not familiar with. The instructions didnt always to correlate with what I found on the screen. It turned out to be a nightmare. I had to reach out daily to IIE for help. The online bot was basically useless and unable to answer any of my questions. Each time I though I was done, I found that I wasnt. Something was missing, or I had to wait for an ITIN number or something and something…the nightmare wasnt ending. I am curious to find out the percentage of students who are actually successful in completing this process.
