Varo is a good bank - for true online banking I have been with Varo now for over 6 years, I started with them while they were not an "official bank", but then transformed into one being backed by the FDIC, which I thought was great. They do not have the best communication practices in the industry, but I don't really need them that often, if I email them they will respond in 24-48 hours. With a good explaination, and usally will refer to their "rules" and such. I like the new feature send to anyone, I can now send Money to my husband, with out fees. I also enjoy the high interest rates on their savings account. If you are going to compare an online bank with a brick and morter bank, there really isn't a fair comparison, Varo doesn't have locations to walk into, or if they do it might only be in Utah or something like that. I do recommend them. I hate talking to people and going to the bank, so this is a really great option for me.

And the cash advance feature will lower your amount to borrow for no reason. Never been late with a payment, yet the reduced my amount over 50%. And of course you get no explanation. They say they have lived chat, complete lie! You are chatting with a Bot.and one if the dumbest bots I've ever used. Getting them on the phone is not possible. It feels like you'd throwing money into an empty void and u will never see it again. The fact that you talk to anyone, makes it not worth your time

Varo for the win! This is the bank I’ve been looking for. I have never been a big fan of financial institutions and their business practices, but Varo bank has been forward thinking with a streamlined approach and they serve my purposes very well. Congrats to the Varo team..
