GBYour representative Your representative, Dan Madsen, was very efficient and fast on following up on my claim. This was the first time I had insurance on my bike and wondered all along about if I ever have a claim, how well it was going to be handled. Well, it was handled so well that I am recommending Velosurance to all my cyclist friends! Once I receive my new bike, I will be adding Velosurance insurance to it. Thanks to Dan and Velosurance for successfully taking care of my claim on a timely matter.

GBI got Velosurance insurance for my new Aventon bike. I got Velosurance insurance for my new Aventon ebike because I was concerned about theft. About a month later, I crashed the bike and needed extensive repairs. Filing a claim with Velosurance was quick and easy and they reimbursed me promptly when the repairs were done. Glad I have Velosurance!

GBCyclist happy with claims process I was extremely satisfied when I had to file a claim for an accident that damaged my bike frame. After submitting the bike shops report and estimate, a check arrived in the mail within a few days. I also appreciate having roadside service available. They clearly are an honest and reputable company.

GBDon't count on this insurance for theft. I had signed up for velosurance for my Radmini 4. Turns out that after questioning the wording in the policy around bike theft, my bike is not covered. Had I not questioned the policy I would have been out 1600.00 if the bike was stolen. It's pretty weak insurance that doesn't protect against theft of bike locked to the back of my Jeep’s spare tire and hitch rack with a Pewag 12mm Security Chain and a Abloy PL350 padlock which sits in a secured parking garage where only someone with a key can enter the garage and there's a camera right beside the Jeep. I am not sure how much more secure I could make it.

GBNo Refund After Cancelling Policy I cancelled my policy a month ago and have still not received a refund. When asked about the refund I was given a date that it would be mailed out. After waiting over two weeks after that they then said that the check might be lost. I contacted Markel (who actually handles the policy and not Velosurance) because that seemed unlikely and they informed me that because of how the cancellation was processed that no refund was ever generated or check mailed out. Markel is investigating now. Upon letting Velosurance know they said they did everything correct but would check again but I do not have much confidence in them because of the initial incorrect information. Also, in this process their representatives said I would receive a call back which never occurred only to discover an email in its place that said they fulfilled their responsibilities and the refund is on Markel. The policy was purchased from Velosurance so I expected them to handle it without the runaround.
