GBWould give zero stars if I could Would give zero stars if I could! Had a trip to Norway planned and couldn’t make it due to a sudden illness. Submitted all the necessary paperwork (also used AIG insurance for the hotels and Generali to cover the flights). This was in January. It is now almost May and out of the two flight claims I made, Generali has paid HALF of my cheapest claim and has closed the other, more expensive claim with no explanation as to why. I spent a total of over $1200 on these flights and have only received back $172 from Generali!! And I might add that I spent over $1000 on the hotel rooms insured through AIG and was paid back in full in less than a month FOR THE SAME TRIP with my insurance through AIG. Generali is a complete scam! Do yourself a favor and use AIG not Generali!! Also take note of how you CANNOT leave a review for Generali on their website! Tried to find where I could leave an honest review and couldn’t find it so they have a glowing 4.8 star rating while being a scam.

GBFirst Time to Use a Trip Insurance Policy My husband and I purchased trip insurance for a trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Ten days before our departure, my husband was diagnosed with a medical condition that made traveling impossible. We submitted all the required paperwork and waited. Honestly, we expected to have to fight to have the policy pay for our non-refundable trip expenses. Two weeks later, we have received an email saying or claim was accepted. We are so relieved. Highly recommend!

GBMedical issue I was unable to travel at the last minute because of an unforeseen medical issue. I placed a claim and uploaded the required documents. I was told a doctor’s note was not satisfactory and needed to submit a physicians statement which I did both on their website and via email. They then finalized my claim with no further explanation. I cannot now get either phone or email response to my questions. Generali promptly processed my claim and forwarded payment after I gave them a one star review on Trustpilot. I question why the same prompt service was not available initially.

GBTOTAL SCAM TOTAL SCAM! Do not use this company for travel insurance. We missed our connections and lost our our luggae and after spending hours jumping through all the hoops- paperwork, receipts, photos, we never received a dime. They just keep ignoring our inquiries.
