Medical issue I was unable to travel at the last minute because of an unforeseen medical issue. I placed a claim and uploaded the required documents. I was told a doctor’s note was not satisfactory and needed to submit a physicians statement which I did both on their website and via email. They then finalized my claim with no further explanation. I cannot now get either phone or email response to my questions. Generali promptly processed my claim and forwarded payment after I gave them a one star review on Trustpilot. I question why the same prompt service was not available initially.

Claims process Claims process: spent so much time upoading documents (as well as providing documentaion for follow-up requests)....claims rep does not respond to emails, nor return calls (we have left several messages), nor does claims rep supervisor. Our claim was closed (not paid) without any expanation and we don't know why. Even after we reduced the requested claim amount, as there was an issue with a credit (for air fare that was worthless 100 each, due to 150 each penalty to use it) showing on our Orbitz account. We then requested reimbursement for one night of hotel that we were charged (due to trip interuption - train transfer canceled due to land-slide). Every time we call we cannot talk to our claims rep or anyone in claims...a call-back was scheduled for last week but did not receive the call-back..We will be filing an official complaint with the NY department of insurance.

If I could give zero stars I would If I could give zero stars I would. I think the people (or bots) giving higher stars have not had to make a claim. I was diagnosed with AML and will be hospitalized for a month to receive a stem cell transplant and needed to cancel my trip. I have uploaded all the documentation they requested. I have not been able to talk to an actual person. I have tried 4 different phone numbers and sent emails to the suggested address only to get automated responsed. This company is a complete scam!

One month processing I bought Generali insurance offered through flight network... I have a month tomorrow since I submit a claim and nothing happened.Years ago I had a claim with other insurer and they processed in less than a week directly PayPal...well day 31 they processed more likely due to this review.

I've used Generali Travel Insurance in South America and Japan I've used Generali Travel Insurance in the past. I like the website purchase as it is straightforward and displays 3 options with clear coverage. It only asked a few questions to filter the individual to the right product.
