GBBeen with Peoples trust for over 7… Been with Peoples Trust for over 7 Years. Never had a claim, always made my payments on time, and then boom, they raised my premium from $1,100 to $2,800. Agent said all insurance carriers had to raise rates. Went with Farmers insurance and got the same coverage at $1,600. Check your policies everyone, especially those of you using Escrow payments.

GBThe SLOW Response Peoples Trust Ins Co I filed a claim a few days after hurricane Ian hit SW Florida. After the initial acknowledgement of claim being filed there has been absolutely no contact from adjustor for well over a month to inspect the property or submitting information concerning claim. No response from adjustor assigned to claim, calls went unanswered and mailbox was full. An adjustor finally showed up, outa the blue, one morning. To his credit, the adjustor did do a comprehensive evaluation of all damages; took lots of notes, photos, etc.... and hopefully a fair evaluation of the claim will be processed. Fingers crossed!!!

GBThis is the worst insurance company if… This is the worst insurance company if you file a claim. If you call about the status, they shove you to the bottom of the list and repeatedly tell you they need 14 days to review your status, and then another 14 days, and another 14 days. They refuse to acknowledge that I need a new roof - I have sent 4 estimates and pictures! Supervisors do not call back and one is never available. Worst Insurance Company EVER!

GBMy review thus far.... We haven’t had a claim or anything (thank goodness), so I can’t really rate anything other than the price, which I do appreciate the small prorated returns for the past 3mos due to the pandemic, but I never did hear anything back after completing the safe driving program via mobile device (scored the highest possible). I hope to get the results of the discount I qualified for before the next renewal. This concludes my review at this time.

GBNothing terrible happened—actually the… Nothing terrible happened—actually the exact opposite. I paid what I thought was a fair amount for my homeowners' insurance earlier this year. What I didn't know was that P.T. had approximated my discounts, which is normal, before all the reports were done, like wind mitigation. When the actual wind mitigation report came through, P.T. lowered my insurance cost by $1300.00. They sent me a refund check, which was a Godsend during this pandemic. (To be upfront, I had a new roof installed 14 months before I went with P.T. My old insurance company did nothing.
