About RCN Capital

RCN Capital is a nationwide, direct, private lender. We provide commercial loans for the purchase or refinance of non-owner-occupied single-family & multi-family properties. We specialize in ground-up construction financing, short-term bridge loans, fix & flip financing as well as long-term rental financing for real estate investors. We lend to both new and experienced real estate professionals throughout the country. RCN Capital, LLC was established in 2010 to provide time-sensitive, bridge financing to real estate investors to fund the purchase of non-owner occupied residential and commercial properties. Formed towards the end of the recession, RCN Capital has benefited from a turbulent housing market in which many real estate investors see great opportunity. A lack of liquidity in the credit markets and increased regulation of the banking industry has restricted conventional financing as an option for investors in fast-moving and competitive real estate markets. As the nation’s premier direct private lender, RCN Capital helps fill this void. As a direct, private lender, RCN Capital takes a common-sense approach to underwriting, with all approvals made in-house. We are dedicated to providing quick responses to time-sensitive loans. At RCN Capital, we value referrals and our brokers are protected. We are committed to the highest level of customer service because our success lies in building relationships.

I would stay far away from this… I would stay far away from this company. Last week, I signed up to do a cash out refinance loan. Everything was going great until I sent my file to underwriting. The CEO of the company reviewed my file and decided to cancel because of the location of the property? Prior to me submitting my file, I asked about this specific location (with emails to prove it) and received the green-light that the loan stipulations would remain the same. They decided to cancel at the last minute without giving me any explanation. You've been warned!

Good starting experience I recently completed my first loan with RCN for a property in Florida. There were no major surprises and the terms were not changed during the loan processing. What was told upfront was what I got. A special word of thanks to my loan officer (Chris Dorin) who was friendly, cooperative and responsive to my needs. He had a good understanding of the loan process and was able to explain it clearly. However, the Closing process took a little longer than expected and the Closing department was not very cooperative as experienced by my team. But with Chris and his team's help, we were able to move forward to Close in time.

A Trusted Business Partner The team at RCN is highly professional. You can rely on their performance to follow their word. They are organized, well staffed, and highly responsive to our requests. Their processes are well defined. Each team member we interact with is clear on their individual role and is flexible enough to accommodate our specific business needs. RCN is not just a lender to us - it is a trusted business partner. We highly recommend working with them.

Initial rep was awesome...very … Initial rep was awesome...very attentive and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. But later in the process, there has been a problem with incorrect inspection report and wiring money which has been very frustrating. I don’t feel these reps are as attentive. I should have received my first draw last week, but still nothing.

Just too many fingers in the pie and way too much paperwork. We had a lot of paperwork during the process and closing was over two hours long and still didn't have enough documents completed. There is a lot of funding issues with who signs what when and it's very expensive.
