Beware of CIBT - they only care about money Before you start plunking down any money with CIBT, give them a call and see if they answer. I tried 3 times, each waiting for half an hour - no one every picked up. Sending an email only works if you wish to pay more for something. This is pretty much a Chinese-owned company that pretends to be "international" but they are out to get more money and make you pay more than you expect.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Awful. Slow. Ineffective. Twice now I have paid to get a Chinese visa in time for an invited international seminar, paying over $850 each time for "premium service" and overnight prepaid shipping. However, TWICE, as in BOTH TIMES that I have used this service, CIBT has failed to get me a VISA in time for travel. This last time they had 6+ weeks to get it done. However, representatives take an average of 3-4 business days to respond to any emails or even phone calls (if they respond at all), thus I fail to see how any of this is "premium" service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Pick a local travel agency, or apply yourself. I will also be informing my University to STOP suggesting anyone use this company for visa applications in the future.

Can't handle the workload Receptionist had be going in circle for an hour trying to reach someone. Unable to get through to customer service, so think about that before you rely on a visa for an important trip!

One star is being generous One star is being generous. After 4 weeks of repeatedly uploading documents, still nothing. Status is "submitted to embassy Dec 1, 1969" seriously? I have spoken to 4 customer service reps who claim to escalate to exec management, but I hear nothing. They took my money tho. I get "Upload successful" emails every time, but when I check a few days later, I get the same old story.

Save yourself frustration and stay away from CIBT Giving one star is being generous. Their Cust Svc is non-existent. Response time can be weeks, if at all. Do it yourself or use another service provider.
