GBGreat service. Not-so great follow up. I had a great experience with Cottman on my first visit. Tony, the owner and a technician potentially saved me several hundred dollars with his professional opinion and recommendation. However, after the recommended repairs were made I still continued to experience another issue. I called back to talk with Tony but the gentleman who works the desk would not allow me to talk to him. He said I’d have to drive there and come in to see Tony. We all have busy lives and having the opportunity to talk about my issue in a brief conversation is vital. This is my wife's car and she drives it every day. Arranging a day to switch cars and drive 20 minutes to his shop to ask a simple question is not acceptable. If I hadn’t ever been there and wanted to just “chat” with a tech I could understand but that wasn’t the case. I think the customer service person needs to re-think his policy.

GBService was outstanding Service was outstanding. Follow up has been good. Currently we are on the road, the engine has started the shifting/rev activity again. Right now because we are so far away from Columbia (Harrisonburg VA) we stopped at the local AAMCO who seems to have further identified another issue. Probably not foreseen by the Cottman group. The team in Columbia did their best to get us in a service center near by, however we were still an hour and a half away from the one Cottman reserved when the check engine light came on again.

GBFriendly, quick, honest, and transparent My Honda was a loss because of a blown transmission but when I took my car there they were completely transparent with costs associated with my car, if I wanted to replace the transmission, and they even let me store the car overnight until a tow trunk could come to take it to a junk yard. I highly recommend Cottmans to anybody. Very friendly and knowledgeable even though I asked a thousand questions, and I even corresponded with them over email/phone calls a few times and got prompt replies back (can’t say that for other shops I’ve gone to). If/when I have transmission issues in my next car I’m coming back!

GBDiagnostic Cot an diagnosed my 2002 Mercedes E 320 with a rough running engine. The effort expended by his technician would put new meaning to the word THOROUGH. The estimate was more than reasonable. The diagnostic was explained in great detail.when I will have the repair made I would would be judged stupid taking it anywhere else

GBVery professional Our 2003 Chevy Malibu had issues with the anti-theft system: at random times it would forget it's key and go into 10 minute lockout mode. Cottman's diagnosed, replaced ignition lock and housing, and reprogrammed computer to recognize all this. Pricey, but probably better than dealer would have charged. They are very honest and reliable.
