GBBeware being mis-sold I would strongly recommend caution before hiring these people or indeed Hertz who own them. I hired a car from their Alicante office via RentalCars.Com. The total price for three days was just over £40 which I paid in advance. On collecting the car I made clear to the Firefly representative that I had my own specialist car hire insurance and did not need anything further from them. I even specifically asked, before signing and initialing the document he gave me, that I had nothing more to pay. After I returned the car, no invoice was sent but my credit card was charged £164 (4 times the cost of the rental!) - they refused to repay this on the grounds that I had signed a document taking out some form of super cover, which they must have known I did not need. I complained to the European Car Rental Conciliation Service who just pointed out that I had signed the form and was therefore liable. What the Conciliation Service failed to consider was whether others have been scammed in this way, and whether representatives have any financial incentive to make customers take out such extras without understanding what they are. If the leaders of this company had any integrity they would monitor complaints such as this, explain how the incentives for staff work and publish guidance for staff making it clear that mis-selling will not be tolerated. For us customers, my advice is to be very careful with all hire companies to check what you are signing - the forms look to be deliberately obscure!

GBMONEY GRABBING GREEDY SCAMMERS After paying all the fees discussed prior to obtaining the hire car, and as we thought it had all been arranged at Alicante Airport, besides the car seat not being what we requested initially, this had then been resolved. Car returned as per the terms, no issue. Until the emails, phone calls, threats, passed on to the bailiffs, threatened with Court etc etc, all for hidden/made up fees that we hadn't been made aware of. Money grabbing scammers that are just in it to make peoples lives a misery. My mother in law ended up paying £400 plus just to get Hertz off there backs

GBSCAM COMPANY SCAM COMPANY! Paid £330 when we booked. when we picked the car up was told verbally was we had paid in full and nothing else to pay…. When signing we was told again all we was signing for was the T&Cs which was all in code. They just said it was only T&C no other extras. A month later £426 was taken again off my credit car. When contacted no answer, did respond to emails. Contacted my bank to who fought the case and as far as we was concerned got a charge back. THEN 2 months hurtz sent another email saying we still owe £426…. Was ignored constantly for 2 months sending numerous emails and got the same generic email back. The broker said we had signed for super theft insurance, safety charges and a car up grade, ALL OF THIS WAS NOT EXPLAINED TO US AND AGREED!!! Tried to contact Citizens advice, financial ombudsmen and ERS… all either could not help. Now the debt has been sent to EOS debt collectors…. Couldn’t face the stress any more with a court order so paid the SCAMMERS! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL BE SCAMMED!!

GBI booked online for a car from Valencia… I booked online for a car from Valencia airport. The fee including insurance was 121 euros. I returned the car today, no scratches etc but that didn't matter as it was comp insured. By the time I arrived at Gatwick an invoice arrived in my inbox for over 400 euros! There is no customer service, the phone isn't answered, the link to a complaint form is dead. How to I get this money back? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
