The location was way off the airport The location was way off the airport. When we got to the location, they started to add on extra fees. I had bought the extra insurance upon booking, they said that didn’t cover everything and they didn’t take our own insurance. They wanted to pre charge for toll fees. When I questioned the extra insurance, they said, “you can just cancel”. I asked about a refund, they said you’ll have to thru the renting agency. We cancelled, finally got back to the airport and rented from Enterprise. Less learned!!

This is the worst car rental company This is the worst car rental company. I rented through Expedia and paid the amount in total. Nope, when I got there, the extremely arrogant men there wanted to charge me an additional $250 saying what I had paid already were"Expedia's charges". Then they MANDATED that I get their insurance, even though I declined through Expedia. And that was an additional $50 per day. Then a security fee of $250. So no, I will never rent from this company and will widely post and send reviews about how awful this company is.

I canceled the car when I went to pick… I canceled the car when I went to pick it up as the extra charges and insurances made it far too expensive. In Europe all charges and costs must be at least advertised before booking , not in Costa Rica. Advertised as 2.80 per day which I knew would mean extra costs upon picking up but the final bill was over 340 dollars inc insurance etc. I canceled as it was not worth the cost.

One person running the desk and washing… One person running the desk and washing cars in the entire branch. Confusion between Expedia insurance and the company policy on insurance. Old, dirty car. Off site location from airport not advertised. Scary location. No one will answer the phone. Although they have a shuttle service to the airport you have no way of knowing. Bad experience, I will not use your services again.

Extra charges I wasn't told at the time I booked the car that I wasn't allowed to drive from LA to Arizona. I had to pay an additional 175 USD to be able to do that. There were also a number of other additional unexpected charges like: Customer Facility Charge 60.00 USD Vehicle License Fee 20.10 USD Airport Surcharge 28.41 USD AP/Hotel Conc Reco Fee 23.43 USD Tourism Surcharge 6.15 USD The price was tripled compared to what I expected at the time of booking. This is apparently not an uncommon instance, as many others have reported the same. Avoid.
