GBScam for repairs cost. Always higher than deductible They cancel authorizations for towing. They advertise with Vivica A. Fox, Ice T and other famous actors that as long as you take your vehicle to an authorized service location who accepts Car Shield, if it is a covered part you are only responsible to pay your deductible. This never happens and the cost is always so much higher for covered part. It is a total scam how American Auto Shield, as the third party administrator for CarShield play with words and terminology to attempt to justify auto ship parts as a non participating dealership charges. This dollar amount is then added to your deductible but the difference will be paid as long as the repair is deemed covered under your active policy.
