GBWhat happened?! I finally decided to purchase a Vimeo membership so I can host my videos somewhere that is professional and reliable. My mistake! Every single design change since I first used Vimeo has been turned into something worse. Even just ordering and presenting videos on my profile (the ONLY thing I need the site for) is impossibly clunky and frustrating. I simply can't understand the choices at work here that seem designed to sabotage something that should be very simple.

NZVIMEO IS WORSE THAN EVER I've been with vimeo for years and have witnesses it degradation over the last few years!! They constantly try hood wink you to spend money. Their service is TERRIBLE. They're constantly changing features without notice. The latest being that they said my subscription lapsed when there was NO WARNING whatsoever - I pay monthly so how could it lapse?! Instead I had 2 months of no videos without knowing it affected my clients!!!! There was NO APOLOGY AFTER.

GBNot a good YouTube alternative to turn to. With the recent decline in YouTube (ads galore, censorship, banning ad blockers, etc.) there's not a whole lot of video hosting websites that can compete with JokeTube. Vimeo certainly isn't helping the situation. My experience with this website is beyond awful. Absolute joke of customer support. The "employees" of Vimeo don't even bother, so they give AI-programmed bots to cover up all your problems. You sign up for the website only to be charged monthly for no reason. Did I mention there's almost no way to delete your account? If you're looking for a YouTube alternative, do not join Vimeo. There's a few more GreedTube alternatives that are much better than this. Vimeo is not the one you must turn to. Even if it's the last website in the world, don't join it.

GBDon't ever let Vimeo get your credit card information I've spent two 15-minute sessions trying to cancel my subscription, delete my account, or disable auto-renew with no success. Vimeo's FAQs claim to lead you to the correct account settings and so on, but all you get is an "Upgrade" screen. It's clear that Vimeo has designed the system to keep you locked in forever. And so what other slime ball practices does this company use?

NOVimeo-so-slow removes crucial videos whilst appeals pending! Like many other users recently, I'm a professional filmmaker fallen foul of Vimeo using rubbishy algorithms to wrongly flag licensed music. Worse still, after you waste hours finding and submitting the documentation, they take much longer than 48hrs to respond and yet REMOVE your video while the appeal is current. This is neither professional nor acceptable. Both I and the composer and of the film‘s music, are extremely dissatisfied with Vimeo's procedures. Start with the presumption of innocence, not guilt ... and at least get enough human staff to deal with it within the 48hr timeframe. If you're looking for video hosting there are many alternatives to the tired and increasingly commercial Vimeo now like streamable et al. I've begun the process of moving things to one of them; it's time to ditch this company.
