My unit was burglarized by employees My unit was burglarized by employees. A power drill not a cordless was required to do what they did. Keys were required to get into a closet where power was available … They offered no compensation. Today I found a tiny little card in the mail telling me my rate went up $80 a month. I get emails and text weekly from these people and yet the rate increase notice comes as a discreet little card in the mail. Extra space storage is owned and operated by cowards and thieves period!

This business will charge you extra… This business will charge you extra money without notice bring up your rates without notice there is nobody to talk to when you have an issue you are given a fake email to contact. Building is never cleaned bathroom never had toilet paper changed never seen the hallways ever get cleaned place is disgusting. Staff is disgusting and thinks being flirty makes her laziness okay. Do yourself a favor and don't rent here I'd rather pay more money somewhere else than deal with this company there are no carts and when there is one and you try to use it there is such a decline that your belongings will roll away on you. Was told insurance doesn't cover stolen possessions here!

Impossible to get refund for months… Impossible to get refund for months overcharged. They even ignore communication from our state's Attorney General. Horrible company. One of their employees was literally threatened to be killed and the company's response was to not file a police report! A person was sleeping in one of the units and the company's response was to ignore him! Safety entrance gates are always broken . . . anyone can get in. Unsafe and unclean. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Prospective renters beware New and prospective renters should be aware of two things about Extra Space Storage. First, they will give you a good deal for a couple of months and then make a huge increase in your monthly rent. Second, even if you tell them you will use your own padlock, they will leave one anyway. If you return it right away, they say they will give you a credit. But, being busy moving your items, if you ASSUME you will get a refund when you move out, you will be wrong. Their policy is to not give refunds or credits on your credit card. You will be stuck with a $20 padlock that you can buy at any hardware store for $10.
