GBRelief from Worry My objective with a cloud backup service is the ease of use as a minimum and the total image of my drive as a maximum. Though IDrive does not have the image-drive capability for Macs, that will not deter me from using IDrive for my Mac laptop. But it does provide me with an image of my Windows desktop, which is invaluable. I was a Back Blaze and Carbonite user. There's no relief from worry more than knowing that your children are okay and then what's gained from knowing your data is safe.

GBVery bad Good: Cheap and supports external drive sync. Bad: extremely slow, unreliable sync (doesn't always detect changes, sometimes Windows service just doesn't run), bandwidth "intelligent" feature doesn't work. On top of that, awful UI, and dodgy behaviour, including app adding shortcut to Desktop every time it starts. Would not recommend.

GBLearn from my mistake I had iDrive several years ago but chose not to renew it because I didn't want to pay for backup anymore. Well, my computer crashed recently - the dreaded blue screen of death - and I lost a lot of important work. At that moment, the fee seemed so insignificant compared to the cost in time and money to replace the lost records. I happily re-signed up with iDrive and feel good knowing that every morning at 3:00am my computer is backed up.

GBGreat Customer Service + Helpful Product I purchased iDrive more for my phone than my computer. The backup for my computer has always run smoothly. While the app didn't work as well as I had hoped, the customer service team went above an beyond to help me troubleshoot. I would recommend iDrive to people looking for an affordable option for their backup needs. I'm looking forward to trying the iDrive Photos software as well.

MTBeats the competition Pricing is very good, providing better value per byte than its main competitors. It does exactly what it says on the box and it does it both smoothly and logically, with a GUI that doesn't take a week to come to terms with. My original backup (ca 4T data) took a predictably very long time to upload but, once that was out of the way, everything else worked nicely.
