Workfront is one of the best Project… Workfront is one of the best Project Management tools I've used! Why is is it the best? Many reasons - with some simple knowledge just about any user can start to build out their portfolio/projects to quickly wround up all needed users to perform the needed tasks. All while having the tool monitoring the life cycle of the project and keeping all involved uptodate on its status/progress. The simple abilities needed to create custom reports needed based on the needs of the audience(s). So many reasons including the Workfront staff and community, its a widely adapted application and with that large user base, its great to virtually meet these users online to learn and share!

Terrible product & definitely not enterprise ready Terrible product , incredibly hard to use. has an abundance of bugs. Task/Issue cards will disappear at random. Kanban boards are the worst in industry , free products are much much better.

Software is good and it helps make my … Software is good and it helps make my job more efficient once you have the basics down. There are things that can be improved in the UI. It is not intuitive to a user who is familiar with only MS Project. If you are familiar with other task tracking tools, it is more easily picked up (i.e. Rally, Jira). Since I fall into the latter category, it was easy for me, however for much of our teammembers, it is not so easy. That is the reason for the 3 star rating. I am the exception, not the rule. Getting projects in and out of MS project and a much easier UI experience would greatly help.

If you have the resources to dedicate to it, it could be really good. The system is pretty complex and if you don't have someone dedicated within your company to manage it, then it will fall by the wayside. But using it from a user perspective is pretty intuitive if you are fairly tech savvy. Some of the older folks have a difficult time using the system. It seems to be set up better as a ticketing system for troubleshooting/technology issues. We use it for creative projects and it seems a bit limiting in that regard. The proofing could be better for more interactive prototyping. Overall, the system works for what we need to at a surface level, we just do not have the dedicated resources to use it properly, therefore we do not feel like the expense is worth it for what we are getting out of it.

Falls Short For Agile Fortunately, if you're in tech chances are that you run your projects in some form of Agile. Unfortunately for you, this is where WF falls incredibly short. While it's incredibly flexible and allows you to do many things the more experienced you become with it, I can't help but feel that WF was built for something else. It seems like it was a MS Project competitor that was adapted for Agile work. The most mundane tasks like issue/bug creating and story pointing can turn from simple things into a complex exploratory mission in a UI that's been slapped together without thinking of intuitiveness and UX. If it was up to me I'd honestly use JIRA, but WF is ok.
