Steer far and clear They will promise you that their service can do everything you need but as soon as you realize they lied and they cannot hold up what they promised, apparently it’s too late to receive a refund because it is no longer the same day you signed up. It hasn’t even been a month - it’s been 8 days and the service was never used. Steer far and clear from OOMA. They will lie and steal your money.

It is good for small businesses We have used Ooma for our small business for over 15 years. Overview: the service is good for small businesses with limited phone budgets. It is not suited for call center-type businesses where many lines are needed and with "auto-assignment" of inbound calls. Now the details: The reasons we stuck with its service are many: low price, ease of adding extensions, phone functionalities like forwarding, and digital reception, and it is painless to move the lines to new offices. The reason for one less star is, even though the support team tries hard to help when there are issues, there are big gaps in knowledge and experience among the team members.

Fine - Until you want to cancel I had no issues with the service or equipment. However, if you want to cancel, just know that you will spend 15-30 minutes of your life trying to do so. I understand customer retention and offering a couple of deals to entice someone to stay. But, to completely ignore the customer on the line who repeatedly says, "I don't want any more offers, I'm not interested in keeping the service at any price", is just ridiculous - and poor business. I had to threaten a chargeback twice since I clearly wasn't getting off the phone anytime soon. I would NEVER recommend this company based on this interaction.

My Ooma service goes out frequently My Ooma service goes out frequently, which can be very frustrating. Just today, it went out again. I couldn't say how often it goes out, but would guess that it is at least once a month. The message quality is horrible, especially the voice quality of my greetings message. The voice quality of messages left for on the Ooma device is also poor. The best quality is on my computer and this is why I give Ooma two stars instead of one. I love the fact that Ooma messages show up on my computer and that I can listen to them there. I also have no complaints about quality of the call when I'm speaking with someone on the phone.

Ooma does not care about customers I was offered a chance to sign up for a free Ooma account as part of a package deal with T-Mobile. When things went wrong with T-mobile, I canceled my account and returned their equipment. When the Ooma equipment arrived, I called to ask for a return label; I hadn't opened the box or used the equipment. The customer service rep refused to send me a label, and we ended up having to pay nearly twenty five dollars to ship it back! I think this is very poor customer service indeed!
