DrChrono’s iPad and iPhone compatible EHR and medical billing platform allows users to manage patient intake, clinical charting, billing, and revenue cycle management. It includes customizable medical forms, e-prescribing, scheduling tools, real-time patient eligibility checks, and a patient portal. The DrChrono App Directory also offers a multitude of apps and a medical API for healthcare app developers. The DrChrono EHR offers fully customizable forms or prebuilt forms. Any prescription, including Electronic Prescribing Controlled Substances, can be sent electronically on iPhone, iPad, or the Internet. Lab orders can be submitted electronically to over 40,000 labs around the United States; results can then be directly uploaded into the patient’s chart. Custom vitals give providers the ability to create baseline health data and monitor each patient’s health measurements over time. Providers can use Free Draw function to annotate on diagrams, x-rays or other files; they can also use the iPad's built-in cameras to take pictures and embed them in the patient's record. The system comes pre-populated with billing codes and is integrated with Box, a HIPAA-compliant cloud storage system.

Mediocre EHR, decent but with many issues We use this EHR for a psychiatry practice. It meets our needs though comes with several downsides. The user interface is often times not intuitive and is cluttered. Heavy website can be slow to load in certain pages. ICD code and rx integration could be better. Poor website design leads to inefficiencies in time management which are key to running a good medical practice. There is no way to work one on one with the designers to improve website design or function. Customer service is mediocre though they try.

Buyer beware The actual product does not measure up to marketing promises. Migrating patient data over was a nightmare, and there were significant extra costs that were not mentioned up front. Getting EPCS set up had several bugs, resulting in days of prescription delays and a return to writing Rx's for all my patients. The product is not worth the cost.

Aweful Aweful - I've now had 3 patients double charged for billing due to an issue with their system. Worst part is the company has no idea how to fix it. Huge issue and patients tend to get very upset when you over charge them - becoming ex-patients who leave nasty online reviews. I now know of several other providers who have also had a lot of issues with the ckmpany. DON'T use this EMR.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. this plus last post See my last post. I am still not registered with Medicare for the same reason as the past 3 times. I have now not billed Medicare for services in over 6 months. I have also lost the ability to bill Medical Mutual due to their lack of technical support. I just submitted a 3rd ticket. The 2nd asked for immediate follow-up because the time to submit had passed on several and due to pass on more. Of course NO RESPONSE. I am now looking at other programs. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE DR CHRONO!!!!!!!

If I can save just 1 clinic from this nightmare company! I had purchased a retiring Docs clinic who was using DrChrono. Part of the agreement when purchasing the clinic was that I had to finish his contract that had approximately 6 months left on it. I called DrChrono and explained that I dont us their software and would just like to finish paying out the ritiring docs contract. They would not allow me access to the patient files in order to upload them to my EHR unless I signed an assignment agreement with them which I reluctantly signed. The staff at DRChrono was fully aware of the situation and that I did not use their software and had no plans whatsoever to use their software after the remaining contract was fulfilled. Well, the 6 months passed and DRChrono renewed my agreement for another year. I called to let them know that there had been a mistake and that it was well known to the staff that I don't use their software, never have and that I was only finishing out the retiring doctors contract. They took this matter to their managers who gave absolutely zero cares. They explained that it is in the fine details of the contract and that I had not sent in written notice. They did not care whether or not I told them over the phone, even though they told me they had recordings of the call. They did not care that I don't use, nor never have used their software because its states in the fine details (which I was never provided) that they require a 30 or 60 day written notice of cancellation. They explained that they had the legal right to hold me to the agreement that I signed. I asked them if they thought it was morally right to force me to pay for a product that I dont use and their response was that I had signed the contract, and they were going to hold me to the contract regardless of whether or not I had ever used their product. So, now Im stuck paying this terrible company over $3,000 for absolutely NOTHING! I emailed back and forth with the people for days if not weeks. They dont care about anything other than taking as much money as possible from you! Learn from my lesson, RUN from this company. They are absolutely terrible!
