GBEndnote is one of the most useful… Endnote is one of the most useful research tools I've ever used. I've been a user for more than a decade and am now successfully managing nearly 50,000 references on a variety of subjects. I've even converted many of my old graduate-school 5x8 cards to EN references. Love having all my notes fully searchable.

GBI've used Endnote for years and the new… I've used Endnote for years and the new version, Endnote 21, is the best ever! I like the way PDF's are converted into references, and how easy it is to import, search, organize. It's a step up from an already excellent product.

GBThis software has been fantastic help… This software has been fantastic help in updating my 1000 page textbook. However I found a minor glitch in 2021 version whereby i cannot directly copy and past DOIs as in 2020 version and instead copy then use two key to paste. It has been especially useful in using Google search then locating a reference then directly downloading the “cite” function. I highly recommend it for anyone in academics

GBHandy software, but three glitches need fixing In recent versions of EndNote, I've encountered three glitches that need fixing. First, when I click "Find Reference Updates", I can Update All Fields and Update Empty Fields, but I can no longer Edit Reference. I can't copy & paste from the online information, and I can't type into my version of the reference. Second, and related, I used to be able to delete a section in my version of the reference and then hit "Update Empty Fields" and continue editing, but now the program closes the whole window. Third, if I'm searching for a reference, I used to be able to type in, say, an author's name, then hit the tab button to get to the next search field. Now, however, the tab button takes me out of the search windows and into the list of references, which is inconvenient. Thanks.

GBTwo of our recent papers Two of our recent papers, both with extensive references that were much easier to manipulate with EndNote. One paper has already been published in May of last year and another is currently in review. I would have dreaded keeping track of these references "by hand". George E. Davis, MD, FACP, FACG
