GBThis company is shady This company is shady. Had a backorder mysteriously cancelled after two months -unavailable. Purchased the same piece of gear he next day (had to pay more). Now I'm waiting on another order because they are "busy". Waiting for the cancellation... Shop elsewhere

GBI’m a happy “CampSaver” I’ve been an REI member for decades. Not to minimize the force that is REI, but, as I recently am rebuilding my backpacking equipment after decades of child and now grandchild-rearing, I have searched for competitive deals across the web. CampSaver has universally been helpful in recommendations via phone and email (I’m rural) and I’m satisfied with my purchases. I think they’re amused by the grandmother desiring to return to the mountains (okay, with my knees, the hills). Dreams keep us alive.

GBCriminally dishonest seller Don't ever do business with this criminally dishonest seller! First, I got a defective item from them. When I returned it and asked for a refund, they tried very hard to convince me for an exchange instead. When I finally decided to exchange, they processed a new order of the same item with a MUCH HIGHER price without my consent. Then I understood why they tried to change my mind. This unauthorized transaction was literally a steal. When confronted via emails, they even tried to play stupid!

GBI’ve NEVER had a significant problem… I’ve NEVER had a significant problem with any order from Campsaver.com and I’ve bought a ton of backpacking gear from them. I’ve also done returns to them without issue. I recently got an awesome Rab down jacket from Campsaver for 40% off list price. That was 20% more off than ANY other competitor.

GBI wish I could give them 0 star I wish I could give them 0 star, which is all they deserve. Submitted an order by mistake, then tried everything possible to cancel that order, only to no avail: called them multiple times but nobody answered; wrote them multiple emails and only to be notified, in two days, that my package had been shipped out and there was nothing they could do about it. Such company should not exist, period!
