GBWorst credit card I've ever owned Worst credit card I've ever owned! Because I don't charge every month, they continue to lower my credit line so it looks like I've maxed my card out. This obviously reflects poorly on my credit report even though I make my payments every month and on time. After being a loyal customer for 5 years, they just let me close my account. Poor customer service and JCP doesn't care about their customers.

GBExtremely Poor customer service The customer service I received tonight was so poor..first off hire Americans you cannot understand “Kenneth” from India. Second of all, I called with 32 mins of placing my order to update the shipping address. Of course I was on hold forever. “Kenneth” was continually repeating to me the 30 min rule. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor pretty sure it was the same guy. I can send you screen shots showing the 2 min difference. The automated machine was saying the order was created “Kenneth” was saying it was fulfilled. So seriously in the 2 mins window I can’t change an address which is all I wanted to do, or not cancel the actual order to replace it with the correct information. This is why no profit is being made and the stores and or company is struggling to stay open. No one wants to shop where customer isn’t being provided. I know that is why I don’t care to shop here. Just fyi before I called I tried to correct on my own, but nope that was not possible either. That would have been in my 30min window.

GBBeware of price gauging Beware of price gauging. JCPenny will intentionally round up specs and then say they can't honor a price match guarantee because specs don't match. Meaning, if another vendor has 0.9" and JCP has 1", they'll consider this a mismatch. It's an intentional deceptive practice for them to mark up products 3x. I've had issues in the past with paying for things that were more expensive than other retailers. This is a known issue and for that I caution other shoppers to go elsewhere or shop at JCP with extreme caution.

GBBig rat at Austin location Big rat ran across the floor while the associate was answering a question for me. She seemed startled but not surprised. On the other hand, I wasn’t about to stay in the store, so I thanked her (from about 20 feet away after running!) and did not get a chance to finish shopping because I headed to my car! The employee was nice though. However, a comfortable shopping experience and big rats just don’t go together. It was big…like put-a-saddle-on-it kind of big LOL! Tech Ridge and IH35 location in Austin could use a pest control company!
