But I later found out that it was just a matter of replacing the batteries in the receiver. So I asked how to return the new one. GBHad exactly the right part Had exactly the right part, although it seemed a bit expensive. Website was easy to use, and I was pleasantly surprised when the remote arrived before I had expected. Also, quite simple to pair the remote with the existing receiver.

GBEasy install I only wanted an on/off remote and was able to get one for around $100. Local fireplace store wanted $225. Personable and knowledgeable sales people with easy peasy install. Would definitely recommend.
