Great customer service Hi, I had an issue with one white paint color on my wall looking a bit different than the small chip I chose it from. Still not quite sure what had happened. I emailed customer service and after couple of emails back and forth they decided to send me a replacement paint that would be custom colored to my preference. It arrived at my door step few days later which was a lot faster than I had gotten the original paint through a third party vendor. I don't know if it is common practice with them, but to me it shows how great the company is considering most of the ordering happens online; and it was no hassle from my part. I have used several of their products (different neutral and white colors) and they were true to the chips I had. They also were easy to apply and rolled on smoothly. I used eggshell and flat finishes and they both worked a lot better than some other "green" alternatives I tested on a piece of primed drywall. They don't smell and they dry in reasonable amount of time. Coverage after primer and two coats of Colorhouse paint was very good on new drywall with no photographing. Thanks.

I started using colorhouse 5 years ago… I started using colorhouse 5 years ago when we moved into our house. We painted every single room with colorhouse paint, 3 bedrooms, living room, dining, kitchen and hallways and all ceilings. We have had no issues with any bad smells or poor coverage like other reviewers. This was in 2015 when they were selling the paint at home depot. In 2017 we renovated a 1 bedroom apartment downstairs in our multi family home. I wanted colorhouse again but they stopped selling it at home depot. Luckily we found a retailer in our city. We had the contractor use the paint in every room, it was a gut reno. Again no issues. Last year there was a small leak and our tenant asked if we had any leftover paint to paint a hallway. We did and he used it. Again NO ISSUES. This is paint that was sitting there for years and was easy to mix and quality was not affected. I wonder if the retailer has any influence on the quality of the paint. I.e. using an authorized and highly rated retailer, or if the quality has in fact gone down. We bought new paint last in 2017 so as far as I know it was still a quality product at that point. I am genuinely sad about the negative experiences other people have had, it doesn't sound like the paint I've used at all.

hues that make you swoon I painted my kids room with their chalkboard collection in wood. 05...a gorgeous subtle and rich dark purple pink with brown undertones... Currently, the chalkboard wall is filled with yellow and pink hearts so the wall has grown on me even more!

Paint Coverage I bought 3 gallons of Colorhouse Paint, Eggshell. Thrive .03 thru Amazon after reviewing an advertisement in Good Housekeeping. 1. The ad said that the paint could be used on furniture. The can said not to use the paint on furniture, cabinet or floors. The Customer is left to figure out what to do 2. The paint requries 2 to 3 coats to cover a wall. The first coat dries to a yellow background tink For the price of the paint and the inability to cover I do not recommend anyone purchasing the paint. This is true case of buyer beware!

This Paint Doesn't Stink So far, I've painted two rooms with Colorhouse and two with another "low" VOC national brand. The two rooms painted with the other brand will be repainted with Colorhouse because I honestly love the velvety texture of CH eggshell over any other paint brand. One coat of Colorhouse covers, two coats get into the nooks and crannies of the orange peel texture on our walls. Clean up is easy, a little hot water, a touch of soap and it's done. The smell is mild, more like an afterthought, and the colors are rich and have a depth you don't get with other paints. My biggest issue with Colorhouse? Choosing a color. Besides the regular palettes, then the seasonal palettes, if you go to the right Colorhouse dealer they can color match almost any other color. So when I hit the Paint Bar at EcoHouse in Berkeley, I feel like a little kid with a pocketful of change in a candy store. No worries, the right dealer will have no VOC tints to give you the perfect color.
