Tedious; but easiest way to do it online If you live out of the state you are born with, 10/10 this is the way to go. Gotta pay for the packet and include a 22$ fee in the packet itself when you mail it - otherwise you’re screwed and have to wait even longer. Obtaining official documents is annoying and boring but must be done. A trip to your County’s Clerks office is definitely quicker though but not always an option

You are better off going in person to… You are better off going in person to the proper county office. This site is useless, unhelpful on any phone calls and just plain not worth it. I need my marriage license for social security since end of May 2022 and its almost August. Still nothing. I have requested a refund of my $89 and will go to my county office myself.

I thought it was going to take another three weeks or so. I am very happy I received the documents however the call center needs to be updated and learn customer service.

I received the packet back saying it didn't have all of the information even though I filled out everything you guys marked as needing. It was missing a date on a line that was not marked so I didn't see it! So I have to go buy another envelope and redo the thing by myself, which means I paid vital records for nothing.
