GBReceipt Doesn't Reflect What I Paid For I've bought a lot of products from ProAS. I've only had one significant problem over a number of years. I'd ordered an expensive piece of gear that was supposed to be in excellent used condition at a price significantly below what others were offering it for. I received my receipt for the used item after paying for it. However, I was then given the option to pay somewhat more for a new unit, the increase in price left it still well below the competition. I received the unit. I can't tell if it's mint used or new but it seems to be new. Now here's the problem. I wanted a receipt that showed it was a new item in case I ever wanted to sell it I thought it might make a difference. I was told they can't do that. They say their systems don't provide that option. That seemed quite lame. I never got the proper receipt. But otherwise good as I indicated, so 4 instead of 5 stars.

GBThese guys are crooks These guys are crooks! Placed an order on May 21. After reading several complaints....I canceled the order within an hour. Received an email from rep saying he'll check with shipping and get back to me. He never did. I followed up several times via email and phone all which were not returned or answered. Disputed the charge with Affirm. Today learn Affirm sided with ProAudioStar and I'm responsible for the loan on a product I never received. Now I'm being proactive and discovered tons of complaints on line and facebook about ProAudioStar. There are dozens of complaints of taking money and not shipping product. Next step is seeking legal advice.

GBGreat deal, but not without some shaky moments... When I saw a "too good to be true" deal on a particular guitar, I started doing my homework. PAS's reputation left me scratching my head. It seems when things are good, they are awesome with amazing deals and great results. When they are bad though, they seem to hit full on horror story. I've never seen a company with such an inverted distribution (everything at the extremes - nothing in the middle). And so it was I decided to roll the dice on a much higher end version of a guitar I wanted at only slightly above my originally intended budget. First, let me say the end guitar appears to be in fine condition and plays well, so the great deal appears to have played out. That said, there were some scary moments: First, even though they were using FedEx and said it shipped the morning after my order, FedEx didn't show it as in their system for days. FedEx can be slow to update - but not days and days slow in my experience with them. Next, the unit shows up, and the box has footprints on both sides of it. The box appeared to have held, but it was creased significantly. Finally, while communication was pretty good up until the unit arrived, it was nothing - crickets after that. Any question or concern (for example, the footprints on the box) received no response at all. The next result for me is that I will probably go into future purchases with them much as I did the first. Noting them as a legit dealer recognized by the brand I'm purchasing, but documenting the hell out of every purchase because the horror stories are too frequent to be completely blown off and my one experience thus far, while having a good end result, was not notable concerns along the way (and the zero response to an existing customer is particularly of concern). My advice to those considering a PAS purchase is, fully consider the deal and exactly what has been said. Ideally capture it in email rather than over the phone. Photography or video what you receive before you open it and through the process. Then be glad when it all turns out ok and you don't actually need that stuff (or be glad you have it if a horror story shows up because now you're on solid footing to pursue whatever actions are necessary). My sense of them is that they mostly do well, but they like to push some boundaries and when you do, sometimes those deals blow up - unfortunately, reviews seem to indicate they don't "own it" when that bad result happens. Hopefully I'll never get to experience that firsthand. I find it difficult to believe that such stories could be all that common on new equipment and they could keep their dealership contract up with major brands, so, as long as I stay new, I'll probably keep buying from them as long as the deal is good enough to make it worth the associated risk/hassle.

GBFender Player Telecaster… Ordered a used Fender Player Telecaster on Oct.6, 2023 (not realizing it was a holiday weekend). I was pleasantly surprised when a Fedex truck backed in my driveway on Oct.9 with a perfectly factory packed guitar that looks new to me. I set action and intonation and have been playing since. Couldn't have asked for more! W.H.Wiliams

GBAwfull looking fender plus top I went to the website and purchased a new fender player plus top. I received it in 3 days. Box had holes it but guitar didn't have any shipping damage. I purchased a new guitar and received a used one. Tag was off guitar, scratches all over the front, tremolo was not in the bag and loose in the box, the two allen wrenches weren't in the bag. And worst of all the maple flame was non existence except a little above the pickguard. Funky streaks running across the guitar. Worst looking plus top I have seen. I emailed proaudiostar four days ago and of course no response. I won't be purchasing anymore guitars or recommending them.
