GBAvoid at all costs This company is absolutely terrible. This company completely misrepresented their fees and then just kept piling on! They made it very difficult to cut ties with them and continued to charge even after I separated from them. Completely unethical company that I am sorry I ever did business with.

GBPoor customer service Poor customer service. I was signed up with Blue Dog credit card servicing. I was never notified that Fortispay purchased Blue Dog. The fees went up after Fortispay took over merchant services. I was compliant with the PCI-DSS at one time, Then after Fortispay took over I started getting charged the non compliant fee. When I cancelled with Fortispay they said that I owed $$$ for early cancellation. I said my contract was with Blue Dog not Fortis. Poor business ethic's.

GBSo frustrated with the continual… So frustrated with the continual increase of nickel dime charges and then a huge jump for non-compliance. Please note, during the time of "non-compliance", the service was not used. Fortis was not able to provide any documentation that I had been informed of non-compliance - which I had not received. I cancelled my contract and was still charged. Stay away! There are plenty of other services that will process CCs for FFLs

GBLie, Cheat, and Steal I wish there was an option for negative stars. We were with this company(Fortis) for 9 months. We signed up for their cash discount program(should pass fees onto the customer), they set it up incorrectly and admitted to doing so. They were drafting 3% of our settlements each day out of our account rather than charging the customer. This cost us around $20,000 and they refuse to take responsibility for the financial loss. To say these guys lie, cheat, and steal is an understatement. Stay far far away. They stole this money from us with no recourse. They will steal from you and brag about it later.

GBAvoid this payment processor. Original Review 04/01/2021: BLUEDOG was extremely helpful in attaining firearm-friendly credit card processing for my home FFL business, Mayhem Mastery. Karen worked around my schedule to ensure I was up and running quickly. Their terms were fair and upfront. Had a slight issue with the plug-in on my website that their tech support was able to handle quickly. I look forward to working with them as I continue to expand my business. UPDATE 07/10/2023: Now the company is called Fortis. I have been attempting to cancel my account since May '23. I didn't receive a response until June 1st, apparently so they could still charge me for the entire month of June. My recent emails to the rep that sent me a DOCUSIGN for cancellation have not been returned. My merchant statement (from one of 3 logins) had a customer number on it that was just for the company that prepares the statement, not Fortis. I found Fortis' number and was in a queue for 15+ minutes telling me there were X number of callers in front of me. When I was next, it sends me to voicemail. The fees increased on me with simply a small note on a statement a few months prior. If they finally stop charging me, I would appreciate it. I am simply trying to get confirmation my account is canceled. They at least honored their no cost cancellation fees I was told initially (maybe?). Chase began offering credit card processing for firearm dealers with no monthly fees. Then I have the option of using Authorize.net with my Chase account to process Credit Cards online.
