Clearly Fake Reviews Clearly fake reviews. High acquisition fees that the investor needs to pay out of pocket.. Any other Realtor would take your business for free. Then your property management is subcontracted out and marked up so HomeUnion makes money on the service. You are better off calling a local Realtor in the area as you'll save a 3.5% acquisition fee and won't have to pay HomeUnion's additional margin that they markup on the Property Management side.

Opportunity to improve. In honesty I'm very happy with HomeUnion. The only concern I have is getting a statement on the repairs and accounting issues. I had to call many times to get information on repairs and the checks for I sent were never accounted for. I had to get complete statements and talk to Mr. Metz ( Who's been great at helping me) about the money that was owed to me. I want to see where the money is going too and a copy of the repair statement. I want to continue to work with you guys but the accounting and repair statements are an area that I want to see improve before i purchase another property. Thank You

Short and sweet Short and sweet, I talked to a guy that only wanted to know what kind of money I was able to fork over to THEM, I was told that for a 100k house I would need $50k because they only work with real numbers...haha. That's 50% for purchase price by the way. My last purchase was $100k, 20% down payment, and 4% for closing costs, for a total of 24%. All these fees will never add up to another 30%. You're suppose to help investors. . This guy was wanting 50%. I get that we would pay a premium for out of area investing, but anyone could just hire whats commonly known as a real estate agent and only pay 6%. Bottom line , they are over priced, and basically not a company I would trust to treat you fair.

Homeunion has a customer service and… Homeunion has a customer service and communication issue. They really don't communicate with you. They sold our account to another property management group and let our rental property insurance laspe. We've since found our own coverage happy to be away from Homeunion. A year later, we get a new insurance policy from an agent we never heard of. For whatever reason, Homeunion put in an application for a policy without our authorization even though we have no association with Homeunion for over a year. Check out their fees before you use them - they are exorbitant!

Finally a service that offered what I need Before I found HomeUnion, I avoided real estate investment for two reasons. First, I didn’t want to buy homes locally, where an economic downturn could wipe out the value of the homes (think southeast Michigan). I wanted to diversify regionally. Second, I wanted to actually own the property, so REITs (which can be well diversified) don’t appeal to me because I wouldn’t own anything but a paper note. HomeUnion solves this paradigm for me. Through their platform I invest with confidence across the country, AND I own every property in my portfolio. They also provide a huge amount of valuable analytics to help investors find properties to match their goals. I highly recommend their service to real estate investors.
